From the world-renowned Gothic artist Anne Stokes, this elegant candle holder is from Fantasy brand Nemesis Now’s giftware collection. Leaning against an ornate Gothic column, this large Dragon has his wings set behind him. His ferocious face peers downwards, protecting his hoard, as he clings to the only source of colour on the piece, a deep purple rose. Cast in the finest resin before being carefully hand-painted, this piece would make the perfect addition to the mantelpiece of any Gothic home.
Polyresin, ook wel polystone genoemd, is een samengestelde grondstof. Het bestaat in feite uit gemalen steen (graniet, marmer, soapstone) en wordt vermengd met vloeibare kunsthars. Zo ontstaat er een gietbaar mengsel. Dit mengsel wordt gegoten in een rubberen mal van bijvoorbeeld een beeld.
Met deze basis zijn oneindig veel mooie producten te maken in allerlei vormen, kleuren en structuren.
